Note about import production: These mugs are being produced with one of our tried and tested production partners. All mugs will have passed through multiple rounds of quality control before being shipped out.
These are ceramic mugs intended for cold or room temperature beverages only.
All of our ceramics are handmade. Each mug varies slightly and is unique, and is not the exact mug photographed here, although we try for it to be as identical as possible when produced by hand. During ceramic production sometimes there can be small variations with glaze, color, texture, cleanup, etc.
We guarantee mugs not to arrive with structural cracks or chips, and will replace them at our expense if they arrive to you in this condition.
Only one mug included.
While technically this can be put in a dishwasher, we only recommend hand washing as this is a functional piece of art.

What are “Whoopsies”?

This only applies to those who select 'Whoopsies' as an option when ordering.

During production, sometimes 'Whoopsies!' happen. These mugs we still consider sellable and usable, but we’ve previously held them back from shipping for often very small and obscure reasons that most people wouldn’t notice/care about. While all of our mugs are hand made and unique, some are a little more unique than others. We’ve had many people inquire about mugs that we’ve not had in-stock for awhile, so we thought this could be a good way to get some mugs that we no longer produce into the hands of those who really want them, and to make room on our shelves for new mugs that we’ve got in the works.

Each of these tiki mugs will have one or more of these, or other, small issues: glaze somewhere unintended, tiny black dots from particles in the kiln, glaze smudges, superficial cracks that don’t affect the integrity of the mug, variation in color or glaze texture, cleanup issues, etc. As each mugs issues vary and are unique, they aren’t reflected in pictures here. Mugs are being sold in as-is condition. While we reserve the right to permanently mark mugs on bottom, out of sight, to indicate they're part of this group, this set will not be marked. Exchanges for alternate 'Whoopsie!' mugs will be allowed if buyer pays shipping costs. Mugs will not arrive cracked/broken (excludes superficial ‘cracks’).

Very Cute Mug... but a little small

Adorable design. But hippos are supposed to be scary gigantic beasts. This one seems more like a tiki mug made for a child. Not to complain too much, of course. It is still a valued piece in my collection. And it serves its purpose... even if it doesn't do it with the girth I anticipated when I placed the order.

We're glad you like the design of the mug! We try to be super transparent about details of every mug, including volume and height or width (depending on if its a tall or wide mug). For this mug specifically the listing page stated 'This mug holds about 18oz (varies slightly mug to mug), and is about 7 inches long.'

Since you like hippos - we do have another hipo mug which is pretty massive! You should check out 'Whittle Hippo', which is about 7.5 inches tall, 6.75 inches deep, and 5.5 inches wide, and able to hold a liquid volume of approximately 30oz!!!

Looks just like the picture. Great quality tiki mug. Couldn't find ANY flaws on her anywhere. Cannot wait until all of my others that I have on order arrive.

Outstanding quality! Looks exactly as pictured. Like some of the other reviews, it’s a little smaller than I was expecting… but that’s on me. It holds the promised 18oz.

Perfect for the Lanai!

I enjoy sitting on the lanai in Honolulu amongst the plumeria trees…this mug was a perfect edition!!

Perfect as is!

Truth be told I’m very anxious when it comes to actually using my tiki’s. I’m worried I’ll slip or chip or something and ruin it. This allows me to add one to my display collection for less. Let’s not forget this tiki looks leagues better than the one offered at a certain new bar in the mouse’s house and I had to get it.

Decor Mug

I really enjoy this piece. it is well made, heavy and looks great with my hand built bar in the back. Its too nice to leave it out all the time, but with the blemish, I am fine with bringing it out when I want to spice up the bar. It it well made, and work buying.
