Tiki tOny's The Head Salesman - Ceramic Tiki Mug

Tiki tOny’s The Head Salesman tiki mug draws its inspiration from a piece of artwork with a truly unique story. Years ago, during a summer break from teaching, Tiki tOny painted a playful scene for a tiki art show — featuring a quirky adventurer, his jungle companion, and a mischievous tiki figure with wide eyes. The painting didn’t sell at that first show, but its journey was far from over.

Brought last-minute to a gallery show in Anaheim, the artwork caught the attention of Disney Imagineer Trader Brandon, who purchased it for Disneyland’s Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. Today, it remains the only contemporary painting hanging behind the bar, tucked among vintage artifacts and tropical curiosities.

That character — the wide-eyed tiki with the eager, slightly unsettling smile — became the perfect inspiration for Tiki tOny’s latest mug. The Head Salesman captures the same offbeat charm: a grinning, wood-carved figure adorned with torch-like details and etched with Polynesian-inspired patterns around its base. Like the painting, it’s both playful and a little mischievous — the kind of character you can imagine trying to sell you a trinket (or a cocktail) in some far-flung jungle market.

    • Mug photos show the mug in outdoor lighting. No filters has been used on these photos. We feel these photos most closely represent the colors in-person.

    • This mug holds about 18oz (varies slightly mug to mug), is about 7 inches tall, 5 inches wide, and 4.25 inches in depth.
    • Shipping Info: This is a pre-order. Barring any major production or freight delays, this will ship to you sometime in the the following window:  mid 2026.
    • SHIPPING: If ordered with other items, these mugs will ship separately and this will be reflected in your shipping cost of your order.

    • Note about import production: These mugs are being produced with one of our tried and tested production partners. All mugs will have passed through multiple rounds of quality control before being shipped out.
    • These are ceramic mugs intended for cold or room temperature beverages only.
    • All of our ceramics are handmade. Each mug varies slightly and is unique, and is not the exact mug photographed here, although we try for it to be as identical as possible when produced by hand. During ceramic production sometimes there can be small variations with glaze, color, texture, cleanup, etc.
    • We guarantee mugs not to arrive with structural cracks or chips, and will replace them at our expense if they arrive to you in this condition.
    • Included: One mug.
    • While technically this can be put in a dishwasher, we only recommend hand washing as this is a functional piece of art.
