Little Baby Whippy was born about a decade ago when Alene and I started going to the land of enchantment and the sweet pineapple whip dessert was a cool tropical escape from the summer heat. I drew this on a drink coaster one evening in my shack back in 2014 and he was a popular little fella, as he ended up in paintings, and drawings for fans! I’ve made a mug of the toucan, then the pineapple, then the parrot, and low and behold, the last from this old coaster drawing is Baby Whippy!!!
LostTikiGirl saw my old cute Whippy drawings and asked for a version of it with a pineapple base, and instead of just drawing it out, that day, I happened to be in the beachcomber shack, so I carved one out for her!
From there, I drew out the version you see here as a mug and worked with my buddy Thor who sculpted the ultimate mug of cuteness!
Baby Whippy needs only love and attention and maybe a little snuggle every once in a while, but more than anything, he’s here to bring you a bit of joy and happiness!
