Weathered by years at sea and never one to back down from a challenge, this stubborn seafarer has earned a reputation for finding his way through rough waters, impossible odds, and more than a few harbor-side adventures. With a trusty pipe, a can of provisions close at hand, and a determined grin, he faces every voyage with equal parts grit and optimism.

Inspired by the adventurous newspaper comic sailors of the early twentieth century, The Scrappy Sailor celebrates the bold personalities, exaggerated character designs, and nautical storytelling that helped define a golden age of comic-strip art.

▸ Use, care, and variation

These are ceramic mugs intended for cold or room temperature beverages only.
All of our ceramics are handmade. Each mug varies slightly and is unique, and is not the exact mug photographed here, although we try for it to be as identical as possible when produced by hand. During ceramic production sometimes there can be variations with glaze, color, texture, cleanup, etc.
While technically this can be put in a dishwasher, we only recommend hand washing as this is a functional piece of art.
