'This mug was based on an antique Papua New Guinean carving which was sold as a 'head hunter skull rack' which was most probably a tourist ploy however it does evoke wild tales & horrifying stories from before head hunting was outlawed in the country'

Each mug comes hand adorned with a variety of different beads that Lost Tiki Girl has picked out for this mug, making each mug unique. What combination you get will be a surprise when your mug arrives. What we’ve picked out for this mug includes cowrie shells, shark vertebrae, ostrich shell, rudraksha seeds, wooden beads, bone, lava, dragon agate, black onyx, garnet, sandalwood, tigers eye, picture jasper, stone, and more.
 
This ceramic tiki mug is about 11.5 inches tall, and holds about 16oz!

  

About this Tiki Mug:

    • Mug photos show the mugs in indoor lighting that closely matches outdoor lighting. No filters has been used on the these photos. We feel these photos most closely represent the colors in-person.
    • Limited Edition / Limited Production Pre-Order - while not a numbered edition, we will only be producing a certain amount and will close the pre-orders after we reach our pre-order goal.
    • This mug holds about 16oz (varies slightly mug to mug), and is about 11.5 inches tall.

    • Designed and sculpted by Danielle Mann in Australia, and beaded in Laguna Beach, CA. Ceramic Imported.
    • Note about import production: These mugs are being produced with one of our tried and tested production partners. All mugs will have passed through multiple rounds of quality control before being shipped out.
    • These are ceramic mugs intended for cold or room temperature beverages only.
    • All of our ceramics are handmade. Each mug varies slightly and is unique, and is not the exact mug photographed here, although we try for it to be as identical as possible when produced by hand. During ceramic production sometimes there can be small variations with glaze, color, texture, cleanup, etc.
    • We guarantee mugs not to arrive with structural cracks or chips, and will replace them at our expense if they arrive to you in this condition.
    • Only one mug is included.
    • While technically these can be put in a dishwasher, we only recommend hand washing as this is a functional piece of art.
    • Please familiarize yourself with our policies.


    What are “Whoopsies”?

    During production, sometimes 'Whoopsies!' happen. These mugs we still consider sellable and usable, but we’ve previously held them back from shipping for often very small and obscure reasons that most people wouldn’t notice. While all of our mugs are hand made and unique, some are a little more unique than others. We’ve had many people inquire about mugs that we’ve not had in-stock for awhile, so we thought this could be a good way to get some mugs that we no longer produce into the hands of those who really want them, and to make room on our shelves for new mugs that we’ve got in the works.

    Each of these tiki mugs will have one or more of these, or other, small issues: glaze somewhere unintended, tiny black dots from particles in the kiln, superficial glaze cracks that don’t affect the integrity of the mug, etc. As each mugs issues vary and are unique, they aren’t reflected in pictures here. Whoopsies mugs are being sold in as-is condition. We reserve the right to permanently mark mugs on bottom, out of sight, to indicate they're part of this group. Exchanges for alternate 'Whoopsie!' mugs will be allowed if buyer pays shipping costs. Mugs will not arrive cracked (excludes superficial glaze ‘cracks’).

    My Favorite TikiLand Trading Co. Mug!

    The sculpt, the colors, the dangling accessories... What could make this better? My favorite mugs are the classic and iconic tribal South Pacific mugs that show off the local cultural flavor of those various peoples. Am greatly hoping for more releases like this one from other artists in the future!
