Tiki Falls Rain Lamp (Midnight Edition) - ceramic Tiki Mug  

Rain lamps rose to popularity in the 1970s and have since made their way into many of our hearts and collections, a cherished relic of a bygone era.

Rain lamps were a novelty light fixture where oil dripped down wires, creating the illusion of rain, often over a decorative figurine.

The nostalgia and exotic allure of these oil rain lamps are what inspired us to pay homage to this one of a kind kitchy treasure.

Our new “Tiki Falls” tiki mug features a Polynesian scene of a beautiful woman, under a tropical waterfall.

This mug was sculpted by Tom “Thor” Thordarson. 


About this Tiki Mug: 

    • This mug holds about 20oz (varies slightly mug to mug), is approximately 10 inches tall.
    • Each of these mugs are unique, yet similar, and go through multiple firings to achieve the look.
    • Mug photo show the mugs indoor, with indoor light that similarly resembles outdoor light. No filters have been used on the photo besides cropping. 
    • Designed and made by TikiLand Trading Co., in sunny southern California. Made in USA.
    • All of our ceramics are handmade. Each mug varies slightly and is unique, and is not the exact mug photographed here, although we try for it to be as identical as possible when produced by hand. During ceramic production sometimes there can be small variations with glaze, color, texture, cleanup, etc.
    • We guarantee mugs not to arrive with structural cracks or chips, and will replace them at our expense if they arrive to you in this condition.
    • Only one mug included.
    • Mug may be shipped independently of other items in your order. Shipping may be slightly more than usual due to the unusual size and shape of this mug.
    • We only recommend hand washing as this is a functional piece of art.
    • Please familiarize yourself with our policies.

 

What are “Whoopsies”?

This only applies to those who select 'Whoopsies' as an option when ordering.

During production, sometimes 'Whoopsies!' happen. These mugs we still consider sellable and usable, but we’ve previously held them back from shipping for often very small and obscure reasons that most people wouldn’t notice/care about. While all of our mugs are hand made and unique, some are a little more unique than others. We’ve had many people inquire about mugs that we’ve not had in-stock for awhile, so we thought this could be a good way to get some mugs that we no longer produce into the hands of those who really want them, and to make room on our shelves for new mugs that we’ve got in the works.

Each of these tiki mugs will have one or more of these, or other, small issues: glaze somewhere unintended, glaze smudges, superficial cracks that don’t affect the integrity of the mug, variation in color or glaze texture, cleanup issues, etc. As each mugs issues vary and are unique, they aren’t reflected in pictures here. Mugs are being sold in as-is condition. While we reserve the right to permanently mark mugs on bottom, out of sight, to indicate they're part of this group, this set will not be marked. Exchanges for alternate 'Whoopsie!' mugs will be allowed if buyer pays shipping costs. Mugs will not arrive cracked (excludes superficial ‘cracks’).
